EARLY SYMPTOMS
Bull-Eye Rash
Many people infected by Lyme disease have a red circular-bull-eye shaped rash. This rash may get larger over time and can be anywhere on the body. The bulls-eye rash has an average diameter of 5 to 6 inches (range = 2 inches to 2 feet).
Flu-like Symptoms
These symptoms include chills, fever, fatigue, and body aches.

Joint Pain
One later symptom includes severe joint pain. The knee is the body part that is most-likely to be affected but other parts can experience pain and swelling also.
Arthritis
After several weeks of being infected with Lyme disease, approximately 60% of those people not treated with antibiotics develop recurrent attacks of painful and swollen joints that last a few days to a few months. The knee is most commonly affected, and about 15% of the people who go untreated develop Arthritis.

Neurological Issues
Another later symptom are neurological problems. These problems include paralysis of the face (Bell's palsy), inflammation of the brain's membranes, numbness of body parts and limbs, and impaired muscle movement.
Lyme disease can cause stiff neck, and meningitis. There are also many symptoms that are overlooked by people that have Lyme disease such as memory loss, difficulty with concentration, and a change in mood or sleeping habits. Also nervous system abnormalities usually form after a month.

- Some patients develops heart problems, such as an irregular, slow heartbeat. These symptoms are signaled by severe dizziness, and shortness of breath.
